Allu Arjun’s blockbuster film Pushpa 2: The Rule, which hit theaters on December 5, 2024, has finally started to show signs of slowing down. After a remarkable run at the box office, the film’s collections have taken a hit, with Day 47 earnings amounting to a mere ₹18 lakhs.
According to early estimates by (link unavailable), Pushpa 2’s total collection now stands at ₹1228.43 crore. However, the film’s daily earnings have been dwindling, with the latest figures indicating a significant drop from the previous day’s collection of ₹1.5 crore.
Kangana Ranaut’s Emergency Takes Center Stage
Meanwhile, Kangana Ranaut’s newly released film Emergency has taken the box office by storm, earning ₹46 lakhs on the same day. The film’s weekend collections were impressive, with Sunday’s earnings amounting to ₹4.35 crore.
New Releases Give Pushpa 2 a Run for Its Money
Pushpa 2 is facing stiff competition from new releases, including Ram Charan’s Game Changer and Azaad, which marks the Bollywood debut of Raveena Tandon’s daughter Rasha Thandani and Ajay Devgn’s nephew Aman Devgan. These films have been performing well at the box office, with Game Changer earning ₹2.50 crore and Azaad earning ₹1.85 crore on Sunday.
Pushpa 2 Sees Slight Revival with Extended Version
However, Pushpa 2 did witness a slight revival during its seventh weekend, with collections increasing by 35 percent after the release of an extended version on January 17. The new version added 20 minutes of new footage, which seemed to pique the audience’s interest once again.
