Tragedy Strikes Maharashtra: 6 Dead, 30 Injured in Jalgaon Train Accident

A devastating incident occurred on Wednesday, January 22, in Maharashtra’s Jalgaon district, resulting in the loss of six lives and injuring 30 others. The tragedy unfolded when a false fire alarm was raised at Jalgaon’s Paranda Railway Station, causing panic among passengers on the Pushpak Express ¹.

As the alarm sounded, some passengers jumped off the train in a state of panic, only to be met with disaster. The Karnataka Express, which was traveling on the same route, struck the passengers who had jumped onto the tracks, resulting in the tragic loss of life ².

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has expressed his condolences over the incident and has ordered adequate medical treatment for the injured. The Chief Minister’s Office stated that Yogi Adityanath has also condoled the demise of the passengers ¹.

The incident has sent shockwaves across the region, highlighting the need for improved safety measures and emergency response systems. An investigation into the incident is currently underway.
