The Municipal Corporation’s action against the encroachment on the Hazrat Satpeer Baba Dargah in Dwarka area has been claimed to be illegal. Claiming to have evidence of the dargah’s existence, a petition was filed in the Supreme Court against the Municipal Corporation. On April 16, the Corporation took action and removed the encroachment for the second time, but by then, the Supreme Court had already passed an interim stay order on the same day. However, the action had already been taken. Later, a significant decision was made by the Supreme Court after hearing the case today. This time, the Supreme Court has ruled in favor of the Municipal Corporation in the petition filed against it. The Court has directed the petitioners to approach the High Court with their grievances. Additionally, the Supreme Court has vacated the interim stay order that was passed on a later date regarding the removal of encroachments, as the Municipal Corporation had already taken action at the site before the stay order was issued. Meanwhile, a violent clash broke out on Tuesday, April 15, over encroachment at the Satpeer Baba Dargah in Dwarka area, leading to police action and temporary closure of roads in the vicinity. Four days later, the barricades were removed, and the roads were reopened. Currently, the area is under tense calm, with a heavy police presence maintaining tight security.
