A devastating road accident near Jizan in western Saudi Arabia on Wednesday claimed the lives of 15 people, including nine Indian nationals. The incident occurred when a bus carrying 26 workers collided with a trailer.

The Indian mission in Jeddah shared the information, stating, “We deeply mourn the tragic loss of 9 Indian nationals in a road accident, near Jizan, in the Western Region of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Our heartfelt condolences to the families affected.”

Details of the Accident
According to reports, the accident took place when the bus collided with a trailer in the Wadi bin Hashbal region of Asir province, located south of the holy city of Mecca. The injured have been rushed to the hospital.
Identified Victims and Injured
One of the deceased has been identified as Kapeli Ramesh (32), hailing from Metpali Mandal in Jagtial district. Two workers from Telangana are among the 11 injured.
