Malegaon – Staff Reporter
The entire Hindu community has demanded that the investigation into the fake birth certificate case in Malegaon be handed over to the Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS). This demand comes after BJP leader Kirit Somaiya alleged that Malegaon has become a hub for distributing fake birth certificates to Bangladeshi and Rohingya infiltrators, making them Indian citizens.
Somaiya claimed that around 4,000 birth certificates were issued in Malegaon tehsil, sparking concerns about the authenticity of these documents. The government has taken cognizance of the matter and set up a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to probe the case.
The Hindu community has expressed concerns that these infiltrators are obtaining fake identity documents without any authorized papers, putting national security at risk. Moreover, they are allegedly exploiting locals by working for lower wages, taking away job opportunities from them.
The community has demanded that the ATS investigate the matter and identify and deport the infiltrators. A memorandum was submitted to Additional Superintendent of Police Aniket Bharti, requesting that the probe be handed over to the ATS.
This demand has been made by various Hindu organizations, including the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP), which was represented by Shyam Deore, Akshay Wagh, Mahesh Sarkar, Yogesh Gawali, Krishna Mishra, Vicky Shinde, Shubham Shewale, Nitesh Dang, Swapnil Bhadane, and other activists.
