In a daring undercover operation, the Nashik police successfully apprehended eight Bangladeshi nationals who were living and working illegally in Adgaon, Maharashtra. The suspects were employed at an under-construction project, where they were caught by a team of police officials disguised as laborers and supervisors.Led by Assistant Police Inspector Pravin Mali and Sub-Inspector Sher Khan Pathan, the team cleverly used language differences to identify the infiltrators. After verifying their identities, the team raided the site and apprehended the eight individuals.

The suspects, aged between 22 and 32, include Suman Gazi, Abdulla Mandal, Shaheen Mandal, Lacel Shantar, Asad Mulla, Aalim Mandal, Al Amin Sheikh, and Mosin Mulla. Investigations revealed that Suman Gazi had been living in India for 12 years and possessed fake documents, including Aadhaar cards.
The police also seized Bangladeshi identity cards from the suspects and found that they had entered India through a middleman in Bangladesh. The suspects’ families are still residing in Bangladesh, and they had been sending money back home through illegal cross-border transactions.
A case has been registered against the suspects at the Adgaon police station under various sections. The Nashik police are launching a special operation to crack down on Bangladeshi infiltrators in construction projects and other areas, and have warned employers to verify the authenticity of documents submitted by workers.
