State-Level Tennis Player Radhika Yadav Shot Dead by Father in Gurugram

Gurugram, India – In a tragic incident that has shocked the community, 25-year-old state-level tennis player Radhika Yadav was reportedly shot dead by her father at their home in Gurugram’s Sector 57. The incident occurred around 10:30 AM on the first floor of a house in Sushant Lok Phase 2.

According to reports, Radhika’s father allegedly fired five bullets, three of which struck her. She was rushed to a private hospital in critical condition but unfortunately succumbed to her injuries during treatment.

Initial reports from NDTV suggest that Radhika’s father was reportedly upset over his daughter’s alleged addiction to making Instagram reels.

“We got information from the hospital that a 25-year-old woman had died. She suffered three bullet injuries,” an IndiaToday.in report quoted officials as saying. “We met the woman’s uncle but he did not say anything. Then we went to the incident spot where we got to know that the woman’s father had fired at her.”

Radhika Yadav was a recognized talent in the tennis world. According to tenniskhelo.com, she held an International Tennis Federation (ITF) doubles ranking of 113 and had been ranked within the top 200 in ITF doubles. She was born on March 23, 2000.

Authorities are investigating the matter.
